About the Oil: Eucalyptus essential oil distilled from the Blue Gum Eucalyptus tree is the most well-known of the Eucalyptus varieties. When one hears the term 'Eucalyptus oil' without a species being mentioned, this is the one.
The primary use of Eucalyptus essential oil is in support of respiration. It opens the bronchial and encourages oxygen uptake. Eucalyptus oil, when diffused, can kill much of the staphylococcus bacteria in a room, assisting in bacterial-mediated bronchial illness.
Eucalyptus oil has been studied to be effective on the immune system. Eucalyptus oil actually enhanced the ability of white blood cells to do their job.
