Let us know your experience. The CO₂ ginger essential oil is called a 'total' extract because the CO₂ method yields a greater number of aromatic compounds than other methods of distillation. 

Ginger oil has been used for centuries to alleviate motion sickness and as a general digestive tonic for upset stomachs. In Ayurvedic cooking, it is added to dishes to enhance a meal's digestibility. Interestingly, the ginger essential oil has been noted to assist other essential oils in reaching their target organs. The scent of ginger oil is gently stimulating, bringing physical energy and courage.

Aroma: A jasmine-like top note, a candied orange and clove middle note, and deep, gently spiced wood undertones. 

Chemistry: Our supplier indicates the extract contains 30 - 50 % essential oil containing zingiberene, ar-curcumene, citral (neral, geranial), alpha-farnesene, beta-bisabolene, beta-sesquiphellandrene. 24 - 35 % total pungent compounds including gingerols, shogaols (less than 5 %), and small amounts of zingerone.

Blends well with: Sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, frankincense, rosewood, cedarwood, rose, lime, neroli, orange, lemon, grapefruit, eucalyptus radiata, geranium, myrtle, and rosemary oils.

Note: CO₂ extracts generally include some larger molecules compared to their steam-distilled counterparts. Some may not be suitable for use in a nebulizing diffuser (unless blended with a thinner oil) – though most will be just fine in an ‘ultrasonic’ unit.
