About the Oil: This wild rosemary essential oil is the 1.8 cineole chemotype. This has a lower keytone content than the Verbenonone chemotype and is the more common variety for its use as an anti-microbe fighting action. The fragrance is a bit more stimulating than the rosemary verbenone chemotype. Please read more on therapeutic uses, and recipes from the link below.
A symbol of vitality and individuality, rosemary was thought to renew enthusiasm and relieve gloom and despair. Rosemary had long been considered a symbol of wisdom love, and fidelity.
Aroma: Fresh, herbaceous, and floral scent, very light. This is an incredible distillation, without a trace of camphor.
Blends with: Eucalyptus Radiata, Basil, Peppermint, and Pine oils.
Suggestions: May include hair and skincare formulas.
NOTE: Until 2017, Rosemary was known by the binomial name Rosmarinus officinalis. Its new scientific title is Salvia Rosmarinus. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is one of the first to adopt the new scientific name for rosemary after research has shown that it is, in fact, salvia or a sage. This new bionomial name is not indicated on the products with Ananda labels. Should we carry Rosemary in the future, we will update the name appropriately.
